94 pre-proposals to be evaluated in the Thematically Open Call 3
The call for pre-proposals for the third thematically open call closed on 12 June 2017. Under evaluation are currently 94 pre-proposals. Invitations to submit full proposals will follow in September / October 2017.
The third thematically open call of the r4d programme resulted in 94 pre-proposals. A total of 56 partner countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America are involved in the proposed research partnerships. All Swiss research universities and many universities for applied sciences as well as a number of further research institutions in Switzerland submitted pre-proposals. The spectrum of disciplines runs from science of religion to organic chemistry to ophthalmology. The quota of female researchers among the applicants and co-applicants abroad and in Switzerland amounts to 33%. The total budget requested is CHF 55 Mio. The available budget for the third thematically open call is approximately CHF 5.5 Mio.
The SNSF has started the evaluation process for 94 pre-proposals. All pre-proposals are peer reviewed and invitations by the Review Panel to submit full proposals will follow after its evaluation meeting in September 2017.
