Female postdoc researchers in the Global South
Gender equality is a key concern of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the r4d programme. The SNSF is fully committed to supporting women who want to advance their academic careers. Female researchers, especially those from the Global South, face multiple challenges in advancing their academic careers.
Between March and June 2022, a series of online networking events with workshops target SNSF-supported female postdoc researchers/professionals from the Global South. Dr Christine Bigler and Dr Tina Büchler, Interdisciplinary Centre of Gender Studies of the University of Bern (ICFG), and Dr Sony KC, University of Kathmandu (KU), are mandated by the SNSF Office
for Gender Equality in Research Funding and the r4d programme to host and facilitate this event series.
